Evelyn is 52 years old, a high school graduate, married with 5 children back in the Philippines; her children's ages are 29, 27, 25, 22, and 16 years old. She still wanted to continue to work in Singapore so that she can help her husband support her 2 young children with their studies at the University. When Evelyn was young, her late parents taught her how to be hardworking and to survive in terms of hardship. She learned from her father how to work on the farm by planting rice, corn, and vegetables, and her mother taught her in cooking, wash clothes by hand, iron, and work for someone else to earn money for a living. When she was young, she used to help to take care of young children, newborn babies, and her relatives' children, neighbors, to earn money for her school allowance. There were also times that she sell cook food to the neighborhood and to another village, doing laundry for other people's clothes too.

Note: Evelyn is very hardworking. She keeps on working for the sake of her children's education and future. Able to speak to the current employer for reference.

Evelyn is confident in childcare and cooking, and she can cook like chicken curry, fish curry, fried kuay teow, fried hokkien mee, chicken chop, fish and chips, mashed potatoes, kuay teow soup, stir fry beehoon, pork and chicken bone soup, beef steak, spaghetti, stir fry vegetables, steamed fish, beef stew, fried rice, etc. Willing to learn and can easily follow recipes.

PHILIPPINES EXPERIENCED:

FROM 2012-2017- She worked as an all-around worker in a tourist resort in her hometown. She helped in cleaning, cashiering, entertaining guests, guiding them, serving in the restaurant, cleaning bedrooms, making sure the whole area is in order, like neat and tidy, replacing toiletries, etc. Evelyn's previous employer was very pleased with her performance. One day, she realized that her children had grown up, could take care of themselves, were trained to be independent, so she decided to work abroad. She left the country so that she could earn a better salary for her children's education.

Singapore Experience: 

Employer 3 09/03/2026 up to date- She is working for a Korean family in a 3-storey house. She is working with 3 Filipino helpers. They are serving a couple, an elderly couple, and 2 young children. She is looking for another employer now as she is not the right fit for the family. The employer is willing to speak to any potential employers for reference.

Employer 2 01/04/2022 to 09/03/2026- She was working for a couple, a Chinese wife/ Indian Husband (only 2 adults - no children /no elderly) in a 2.5 Storey House (5 rooms /5 bathrooms), has a garden, has 2 cars, and some pets. She is working with another helper. She covers everything inside the house. The other helper will cover outside the house, garden, porch plus the pets. On weekends when one of them takes off, the other helper will cover all duties, but limited to basic cleaning and feeding the animals. Their duties/responsibilities between them are: looking after a young dog (35 kg) / 2 cats / 5 pet chickens, a turtle, and a bird – timely feeding & cleaning the bird cage, making a list for food replacement etc., general housecleaning, sweeping, mopping, dusting, keeping all storage areas and cabinets clean and tidy etc., keep the outside area clean – porch, backyard, side of the house, outside cabinets etc., maintain the garden, watering plants, fertilizing, ground floor, 2nd Floor and 3rd Floor, manage the laundry washing, drying and ironing, wash the cars, grocery shopping, cooking Chinese, Filipino or Western meals. Evelyn loves to cook, and she can follow recipes. She has no problem with communication in the house. She was looking for a new employer for a change.

Employer 1 13/04/2021 01/04/2022-She was working for a Chinese and Filipino family, staying in an HDB 3-bedroom apartment. She is serving a couple. Her main duties were to take care of the elderly with advanced Parkinson's patients. She takes care of him like bathing, feeding, toileting, bringing him for a walk, transferring from wheelchair to bed and from bed to wheelchair, bringing him for the doctor's checkup, assist him in everything he does. Her secondary duties are all the housework, like cooking, cleaning, washing clothes by hand, and washing the car 2 or 3 times a week. There were also times when she did marketing, and if there were shortages of some ingredients, the employer did marketing and groceries. Evelyn's duties are divided into duties with another Indonesian helper. Both of them ( Evelyn and the Indonesian) will be transferred as the previous helper is coming back, and this helper (Siti)  mentioned that she does not wish to work with another helper; Siti wanted to work alone, which worked for them longer before, and is more familiar with the daily activities of the patient. 

Employer 1 09/03/2017 07/04/2020- Evelyn worked with the same employer above, worked in HDB with a 3-bedroom apartment, served 4 people, who are all working a couple and 2 children, ages 28 and 24 years old. The children got married, and they moved out. The employer's son got married and temporarily stayed for 6 months. Duties were divided into 2 helpers, like all housework, taking care of the Parkinson's patient, cooking, and all other duties were mentioned above. Evelyn went back to the Philippines during the contract because her mom had passed away, and came back to Singapore after a year.
